Moodle Army #1

Moodle Army #1

Good evening everyone! (Well, it’s evening here in Blighty and much later than I wanted to be putting this out but…life!)

So here we are with the gallery for our first Moodles on the theme of drawing the upside down / viewing things from a different perspective.

A huge thank you to those who submitted emails or created posts (especially ‘Porter Girl’ Lucy, who must be an incredibly fast doodler or has a stash on hand!) and those who shared and gave such positive feedback for the idea. It’s only a tiny movement so far but we all have to start somewhere!

My offering above takes me back to my childhood and something that always made me happy: swinging upside-down on my garden swing and letting my hair trail in the grass. I can’t draw people though so we wont talk about proportions / accuracy / whatever… πŸ˜‰

The theme for next week is:

How creative can you get with your ride?

Challenge open until Monday 6th February @ 6pm (GMT) – entries via email ( or a linked post.

So without further ado, here are this week’s submissions…I’ve even included the Tony Hart gallery theme so you can admire with authentically nostalgic music!

Links to the artists’ sites above the images – please go and check them out as they have far more going on than just doodles! Enjoy πŸ™‚

    1. Hope you can get one done – it would be a tragedy against your blog name! But hope all is on the mend at home now, know how bad you’ve had the bugs.

  2. Amazing! What an eclectic mix. Hard to choose a favourite! 😳

I’ll getting my thinking cap on for next week’s theme and get in on the action!

It can be anything… just whatever comes to mind, right? In keeping with the theme?

  3. Ahh… see? First week and I really wanted to do this… yet I missed the deadline. Truth is… I finally thought of something to draw for it yesterday… but it was too late. Also now that I see a few here… mine might be embarrassing! These are great fun to look at. Maybe next week I’ll get my act together… for doodling, anyway. πŸ™‚

  4. Hooray for the Moodle Army! Do I get a rank? I could be Captain Moodle. Or Major Moodle. I don’t want to get ahead of myself though – roller coasters seem like they might be hard to draw. I could end up being a lowly Corporal Moodle by this time next week…

    1. Best thing about doodling is that it requires no artistic training! Everyone can do it, and I hope they do. Thanks for providing a focus for the fun, Haylee.

James, I am reminded of Daffy Duck’s misfortunes in “Rabbit Seasoning” and “Duck, Rabbit, Duck!” πŸ˜€
