Bobbin’ Back to Blogging

Bobbin’ Back to Blogging

Hello people. I’m dipping my toe in and starting to get together some posts for the blog after having time away. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who commented and sent me hugs and condolences after the death of my grandad – it meant a lot and helped when I was feeling very down.

I’m beginning to feel much better and whilst some days are still difficult, I do want to get back to writing and the blog as I’ve missed it. So here are some things that might be coming up over the next few weeks:

British Bake Off Challenges: I’m naturally watching the new series and as I’m still deluded enough to think I could make it on to the competition, I thought I’d attempt the challenges set, week by week (I have some I’ve already completed, ready to share!)

Taken with NightCap Pro

Photography and digital art: Obviously this will be a feature, it’s my mainstay! I’m still enjoying playing around with digital imagery (how good is Prisma?!), plus I have several posts I’ve not put out from day trips I took during the summer holidays.

Guest posts: Watch this space for where else I might be appearing in the blogosphere, as I’ve kindly been asked to write for another site. 🙂

Fadtastic posts: And finally, I’ve not indulged my faddy side for a while have I? It’s about time I tried something new and you’re welcome to come along for the ride!

And the images I’ve posted? Some from days out I’ve had to make me feel more smiley. From standing on top of the world at Sutton Bank in Yorkshire, fireworks concerts at the dock and building giant structures from cardboard boxes at Hull’s Freedom Festival to dressing up as a judge as part of the Heritage Open Days (in the building where they filmed Death Comes to Pemberley)… don’t I look wonderful? 😉 Actual answers to that are not necessary!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and I’ll be back again very soon (maybe even today with a little micro-fiction!) Byeee…

    1. Thanks Chrissie 🙂 I’m sorry to hear about your loss too though – I hope you’re ok.
I do love playing with Prisma effects and that parrot was very obliging when taking the image!

    1. Thank you Jason 😊 I mentioned you today – they were trying to explain Hygge (if I’ve spelled it correctly) on morning TV and I thought you might be able to shed a better light. Based on the number of blankets and soft cuddly things on display, I want to movement to Denmark!

      1. The media seem a bit obsessed with Danish hygge at the moment. I read there are nine new books coming out on that subject, and it was already fairly well covered. Bandwagons gotta keep on rollin’ I guess. The Danes are certainly good at it, but with our long Winters it makes sense to know how to make the most of them.

    1. I think I may have to trade my glasses in for a pair like that, just so I can look over the top of them sternly! And thank you for parting with one of you hugs… ☺️ You weren’t to know, you’ve been away busy examinating!

      1. I’m glad it’s only somewhat – completely sane would be no fun at all! In the grand scheme of things, it’s not long. So long as you don’t disappear completely, that’s the main thing.

    1. Hello! Are you that guy who writes about a long running TV show… What’s it called? Crows and Kings? Boobs and Dragons? 😉
But thanks for following (and for the nice / funny welcome back!)
