Round, round, get ‘a round’

Round, round, get ‘a round’

I’m a big fan of curves. I love the smooth, undulating lines of a meandering river, the spirals of a ringlet, the curl of a dozing cat.

And as geometric shapes go, a simple circle can often be the most striking, synonymous with completion, ending and beginnings, with life.

So, in response to the Daily Post’s photo challenge, here are a few images from my collection of circles and curves, snapped as I’ve been out and about and getting ‘a round’!

Yes, I know that they’re not all true circles but hey-ho… That Elton John song and all that. Or should it be the Beach Boys…? 😉

I hope you enjoy the Wednesday Lensday selection!

      1. Oooh please do then bring it round to my house please. I’ll make room in the garden. I’ll warn you it’s heavy – totally made of concrete, no joins or something. Quite a feat in those days.

  1. Curves and circles are my favorite shapes too. Your photos capture the idea of the circle. But, I especially like the words you used to describe circles, “the curl of a dozing cat” is wonderful!

      1. Aww thanks Carol! I do have the app for WordPress on my phone which makes responding a little easier (don’t have to wait to boot up my laptop!) but even then, I’m nowhere near as active or good at ‘networking’ as some bloggers. Still, I love to receive comments – I’d much rather engage in conversation with fellow bloggers than just have people follow for following’s sake 🙂
